Gen III Oil Corporation (“Gen III” or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:GIII) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gordon Driedger, P.Eng. as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective January 17, 2018. Gordon was previously the Company’s Director of Operations.
Gordon Driedger is an award winning professional engineer with 35 years’ experience in design, management, and construction of a diverse spectrum of industrial, institutional and civil projects. His experience includes 10 years as VP, Project Delivery with Plenary Group, a leading North American developer of infrastructure projects utilizing public private partnerships, 20 years as founder/owner/manager of SILCO, an EPC firm and 5 years in the role of Director, Project Management Office, University of Alberta, overseeing the University’s $2 billion capital program.
Most recently, Mr. Driedger established a private consultancy firm providing project implementation advisory services, including overseeing the successful procurement and implementation of the $350M Stanton Territorial Hospital utilizing the P3 delivery model.
Mr. Driedger brings extensive project implementation knowledge to the Gen III management team with his first-hand understanding of all phases of the project lifecycle. He has successfully completed over 70 major capital projects nationally and internationally utilizing a wide variety of delivery and funding models for both the private and public sector.
During his career, Mr. Driedger has had executive responsibility for assembling and managing multidisciplinary project teams, establishing governance and organization models, and leading team performance.
Mr. Driedger will be responsible for all aspects of Gen III’s project implementation and start-up operations for its proposed Bowden, Alberta facility.
